Before receiving a master's degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1995, Jorge Manuel B. Yulo worked at the firm of Cabrera/Barricklo Offices in New York City in 1985-1986 and transferred to Leandro V. Locsin and Partners in Manila upon acquiring a degree.
He left the firm in 1994 to pursue his own practice until he established Jorge Yulo Architects and Associates in early 1995, during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis JYAA cultivated its interior design services, which constitutes a significant percentage of the firm’s portfolio.
JYAA is composed of architects, artists, and technical consultants who work comprehensively as a multi-faceted team, maintaining a studio culture of experimentation, creativity, and experientiality.
